Louise's is named for Lou's grandmother, Louise Lankford — one of the sassiest, classiest ladies she ever knew. The shop means to live up to her.
How a schoolteacher of 38 years came out of retirement to take over one of the Shore's last dress shops — in an old bank, with a 1938 Vogue and a Dior hat full of candy — well, that's a longer story.
